2023 Economic Development Grant

LCDC is awarding up to $5,000 to a deserving Lake County Business.

About the Grant

The Lake County Development Council (LCDC) will be launching an Economic
Development Grant, to be given out at our Annual Economic Forum, hosted each fall.
LCDC’s mission is to raise awareness of economic issues and initiate a process to
address problems and opportunities impacting Lake County business conditions.
Helping to establish and maintain economic stability in Lake County is a key
factor for our organization.
The grant will be up to $5,000 rewarded to a business owner in Lake County, Ohio.

The initial funders are the Lake County Development Council and the Lake County
General Health District, contributing $1,000 each. The grant may be used in
conjunction with other local, county, state and federal incentive programs. 

Lake County businesses will have the opportunity to both apply and/or donate to this Annual Grant.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible to receive the Lake County Development Council Economic
Development Grant, grant recipients must fit the following criteria:

  • Grant recipients are required to have a business plan.
    Grant recipients are required to have a physical premise/brick and mortar
    located in Lake County, Ohio – with at minimum, a 3 year lease.
  • Grant recipients are required to maintain membership to the Lake County
    Development Council for at least two (2) consecutive years once awarded
    the grant.
  • Grant recipients are required to attend a SCORE business training, SBDC
    consulting session and one STS Shark Tank event.
