Laketran to host Hiring Event to recruit up to 20 part-time drivers and full-time mechanics and vehicle servicers. Event offers guaranteed interviews to all attendees
Lake County, OH – Laketran is hosting an in-person Hiring Event that guarantees all applicants an immediate interview on Tuesday, October 15 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on the campus of Lakeland Community College in the H-Building.
Laketran aims to hire up to 16 part-time bus drivers to operate its Dial-a-Ride service that primarily transports seniors and people with disabilities around Lake County. Bus driver positions start as part-time and promotion opportunities to advance to full-time are plentiful. All applicants must be available for a six-week training class that begins Tuesday, November 12 and work shifts anytime during Laketran’s hours of operations.
A commercial driver’s license (CDL) is not required for hire – only a valid driver’s license is required to work as a driver. All applicants must pass a background check, drug-test and ODOT physical.
Laketran is also actively recruiting full-time mechanics and vehicle servicers for their maintenance department. Full-time mechanic positions begin immediately and receive a $2,000 signing bonus.
